Counseling Services Cherry Hill Elementary School Counseling Department offers prevention based programs. We believe in supporting the social and emotional development of our students so that they can be productive learners. Our programs teach students about conflict resolution, emotional and social literacy, empowerment, growth mindset and acceptance. The counseling department's goal is to help our students become productive, life-long learners. Our programs support a positive school climate for students so that they can not only learn academics but also learn to collaborate, inspire, and support each other as members of our proud school family. 2023-24 Counseling Programs New Student Lunch with Mrs. Blake All new students have a special lunch with other new students and Mrs. Blake Kids' Turn-changing family support group(divorce, death, or illness). Small groups in grades 1-6 meet during lunchtime or community time. 2023 Kids' Turn Response Form Big Buddies-6th grade students and 1st grade students will partner up during recess to engage in fun activities to foster relationships across grade levels.

Week of Respect-the first week in October is focused on RESPECT. The teachers/counselors teach lessons related to respect, acceptance, and inclusivity. We have a special assembly and spirit days. All activities are geared to inspire a more positive school climate.
Individual and behavioral counseling is always available when circumstances arise that interferes with a student's school experience.
